Berkin Malkoç

Berkin Malkoç, the General Manager of Miletos A.Ş., completed his secondary and higher education at Galatasaray High School and Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He worked as a researcher and pursued doctoral studies in ITU’s Physics Engineering Department. Miletos, founded in 2014 to develop artificial intelligence products, has products such as the Check Reader, which interprets document images for corporate clients and has been operating live in Turkey’s largest financial institutions for over five years. Additionally, the company’s research portal, Muteferriqa, provides a modern discovery experience in Ottoman digital archives and is used by leading research institutions worldwide.

Berkin Malkoç contributes to the activities of the Turkey Artificial Intelligence Initiative (TRAI) as a founding board member and serves as an advisory board member at Koç University’s İş Bank Artificial Intelligence (KUIS AI) Application and Research Center and as a member of the TSE Artificial Intelligence Mirror Committee.
